MAGAZINES: South Asian Covers, Anyone?

Here is an amazing slideshow and request from SAJA.

"SAJAforum is attempting to assemble the largest collection of cover images from major U.S. magazine featuring South Asia, South Asians and South Asian themes. The prelimnary results of our ongoing, multi-month search can now be revealed.

We have created a collage/slideshow of the covers we found - 75+ at this time. This not a comprehensive list and we need your help to make it better. If you know of a cover image we missed, please let us know in the comments section. Better yet, include the URL of the image. Or e-mail us at - subject line = "South Asian covers." We will keep adding to this slideshow as you help us find more covers."

Ghazals and Jaswinder Singh

Ghazal - The word originates from arabic, meaning, "way or mannerism of talking to or talking about women." It is in fact an expression of love! Thus Ghazal is the most romantic form of poetry, which has soft and soothing melodies that can touch the soul.

Here is a video from my friend Jaswinder Singh, who has an stunning voice, which lends itself perfectly to the singing of these beautifully, romantic works of art. See for yourself. You'll actually see him singing in the video several times too!

The song is called Dil Ko Thaaman and it is from Jas' album titled, Dilkash.

To learn more about Jaswinder and sample more of his amazing musical talents, please visit Jaswinder's Ryze Page.
