Top Chef

I love food, both cooking and eating it. Although I'm not crazy about reality shows, Top Chef is one of my favorite cooking shows. The Indian connection (for this blogspot) is of course the beautiful Padma Lakshmi, who is the host of the show.

The competition has been fierce throughout and the dishes very interesting to say the least, given the themes and settings in which the chefs have been handed. It's wonderful that you can also get the recipes and relive some of the highlights through the official Top Chef site.

I really can't believe though that Sam and Elia were the ones to "pack their knives and go" home. Clearly the judges must have had a little too much to drink before they made this insane decision.

It's down to the last two chefs, Ilan and Marcel. Although I wanted it to be between Sam and Elia, (and it really should have been, since they were the two best (IMHO) throughout, especially Sam) The judges really made a very bad decision this week for sure and the comments from viewers on the blog show it!

I won't be watching the final challenge between Ilan and Marcel because the producers will probably chose Marcel just because of all the drama he created the entire series. It's so unfair. I know ratings are important but not at the expense of the contestants. Shame on Bravo!

I loved both Elia and Sam, but without a doubt, Sam would have come out of it all as Top Chef!

Forget about having me as a viewer for 'Top Chef' "part 3" of the ratings game as well!

You can check out the finale photos and comments along with the Official site with all of the episodes and interviews, along with Chef Tom Colicchio, Padma Lakshmi and Gail Simmon's blogs.
