And They're Off!!!!

It's eight minutes into the great NaNoWriMo event and I haven't typed my first word yet. But I had to stop in and leave the link to the article I just wrote about it on Associated Content.

If you don't hear much from me for the next month, you'll know why ... I'm off to the races to write a 50,000 word novel by November 30th.

Come visit me at NaNoWriMo if you can and I double dog dare you to join in on the fun and insanity!

See you soon!

  1. Best of luck to you this month -- and if you feel yourself starting to slow down ... think Dory: just keep writing, just keep writing, just keep writing.

  2. Good luck with your writing this month. Even if you don't get the draft finished for an entire novel you'll surely be way ahead of the game just by trying.

  3. Good luck with NaNo. I've done it twice now and was so disgusted with not winning again that I've put it on hold until I've got the proper time to give it.

    Hope you're a winner!

  4. Good luck with NaNo, I've tried 3 years running, and have yet to start on any of them!

So buckle down, and at least get a start, it's all easy from there!

  5. The idea of writing 50,000 words in a month is mind blowing. Honestly I can't even begin to imagine how you'd do it unless you took the month off and did nothing else

  6. Good for you! I played with it last year and truly was tempted to jump in on November 1. Just too many competing interests around here. I think the idea is great. Get your ideas down in writing and sort them out later. There is bound to be good ideas come out of the process.

  7. How is NaNo going?

One of these years I'll find the time for it, November is just not a very good month for me.

    I wish you much luck!

  8. Good luck! (Today's about the halfway-point... how's your progress?)

  9. Thanks everyone for the encouragement and good wishes. I'm a little behind actually as I have some writing assignments to finish first. But I still have time. I must update the word count too now that you've reminded me.
